Golf Tournament May 19, 2006
Our 17th annual golf
tournament was held Friday, May 19, at the Green Hills Golf Course. The
17th-annual tournament was highlighted by the winning of a 1-carat diamond solitaire ring for making a hole-in-one on the Green Hills Golf Course's 16th hole. Dave Quigley of Chillicothe was presented the ring after his morning ace by prize sponsor Ken Lauhoff of Lauhoff Jewelry of Chillicothe. Also on hand to congratulate Quigley for the feat - his first ace ever - was tournament committee chairman Brian Englert. Quigley said he used a 3-iron for the shot on the hole which played at about 175 yards into the wind that day. The ball hit on the green, bounced once or twice, and rolled about the last eight to 10 feet to the cup, Quigley reported. “I always play that hole pretty well,” the regular golfer commented, “but I've never really come close to holing my tee shot on it before.”
Dave Quigley scored his first -ever hole-in-one on Green Hills Golf Course hole No. 16 last Friday to win a 1-carat diamond solitaire ring sponsored by Lauhoff Jewelry, highlighting the 17th-annual Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament.
The tournament featured:
- 18-Hole two-person
scramble
- Cash awards for top three
finishing teams in each of the three flights
- Contests on every hole
- Hole-in-one prize on every
Par 3 hole!
Registration fee included
catered lunch served 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the clubhouse. Limited to
